Is VASER Lipo Worth It?

VASER (vibration amplification of sound energy at resonance) liposuction is a cosmetic fat removal procedure that uses state-of-the-art ultrasound technology to break apart fat cells and release them from the deeper tissues. VASER lipo is considered to be a more measured, precise, and gentler method compared to traditional liposuction.[1] Experts have noted in multiple studies that this procedure has become a mature and integral surgical technology in the reduction of subcutaneous fat.[2]

Candidates for VASER Lipo

The ideal candidate for VASER lipo is a non-smoking individual in good health who is at their stable baseline weight. Selected candidates would be dealing with stubborn pockets of fat that will not go away no matter how hard they diet and exercise

Your consultation with the coordinators and staff at the Advanced Body Sculpting Institute will be the best time to determine your candidacy for VASER lipo. Together, you will have a frank discussion about your goals and expectations for your body.

Potential candidates should note that VASER lipo, or any type of body contouring procedure, is not an adequate substitute for traditional weight loss methods. It merely reshapes the body, revealing the muscle tone underneath. It is up to you to build up the muscles beneath the fat.

Personal Consultation

During your consultation, you will get to share your aesthetic objectives with one of the highly qualified members of our ABS team. You will have a frank discussion about reasons for pursuing VASER lipo and how it will help you achieve your ideal figure. We will listen attentively and suggest the number of treatments that will produce your most satisfying results.

After examining the areas you are concerned about, we will ultimately determine if VASER lipo is right for you.

Your health and safety are very important to us at the ABS Institute. The clinical team will ask you about your general health, allergies, and past surgeries. This information will help them understand if VASER lipo is most suitable for their health.

Preparation

In weeks and days leading up to your VASER lipo procedure, you will want to avoid any blood-thinning medications. Avoid alcohol the night before your procedure, and follow any pre-operative instructions given to you by your doctor.

Procedure

During your VASER liposuction procedure, you will be put under local or general anesthesia. Either a saline solution or a tumescent fluid mixed with an anesthetic will be injected into the areas to be treated. Then, your doctor will place ultrasound probes into the skin through a tiny incision to break up the fatty tissues.

Soon, the fatty tissues will lightly start to break apart. Your doctor will then use a hollowed-out needle attached to a vacuum device called a cannula to suction out the fatty tissues and the fluids through the same incision.

Some remaining fluid will be left in the body to numb any postoperative pain. Your body will absorb it over time the next few days.

Recovery

After VASER lipo treatment, your body may appear slightly bruised and swollen in the treated areas. Results won’t be noticed right away because the body needs proper time to heal.

You will need to wear a compression garment for the next several weeks to reduce swelling.

Around three to six months, your results will start to settle in as they develop. For some, it may take a few additional months to see results.

Results

Results from VASER lipo are long lasting, providing the patient maintains a healthy and active lifestyle in order to prolong their results to the maximum.

Be prepared to feel proud of yourself! You’ll be able to enjoy life as a more secure and enhanced version of yourself.

FAQ

What is VASER lipo?

VASER (vibration amplification of sound energy at resonance) liposuction is a fat removal method that uses state-of-the-art ultrasound technology to break apart the fat cells and clear them from the deeper tissues.

What is the difference between traditional liposuction and VASER liposuction?

Traditional liposuction is only capable of retrieving the deep layer of fat and can destroy connective tissue. In addition to using ultrasound technology  to break up the fat, VASER is able to retrieve both the deep and superficial layers of fat without destroying connective tissue.

How many treatments of VASER lipo will I need?

The Vaser lipo procedure is typically performed in one session. Touch-up procedures are usually small and efficient. If multiple areas are to be treated, you may need to have your procedure split into two sessions spaced one to six weeks apart.

Is VASER lipo worth it?

Yes, VASER lipo is very much worth it. It has all the benefits of liposuction, except more precise and gentle. Visit our price page and our financing page to get a full scope of what is available at the Advanced Body Sculpting Institute.
